 01. When do I plan for a 3D scan/ appointment?

We work by appointment only, if pregnant: It’s best to plan the 3d scan between the start of your growing baby belly till the end of your pregnancy. approximately 25-38 weeks is what most becoming mom's feel comfortable with but when pregnant with twins we recommend to come between 25-30 weeks.

02. How do I book a 3D scan and appointment with you?

Make your appointment by going to the BOOK APPOINTMENT tab on the website and schedule a timeslot. The appointment itself only takes about an hour. We scan pregnancy, non pregnancy, mother and baby or celebrate your body in general.

03. What happens during the 3D scan/appointment?

The appointment will take approximately one hour at our studio in Pacific Beach. During the appointment we start with advising you on the different materials and sizes we offer and on finding a pose that works best for you to make sure your body is captured in the most beautiful way. The 3D scanning (photo scan) itself takes approximately 2-3 minutes and after that we will review the scan with you and you can pick out the material you would like to have it made with.

04. I'm pregnant, do I pose naked?

To get the best results for a nude statue, it’s best to do the scan without wearing any underwear (it will only take 2 minutes to capture your body) but if you feel more comfortable in underwear, we prefer a seamless thong. 

05. Do I need to bring something with me to the appointment?

Please bring a seamless thong if you don't want to pose naked. It’s best to take off your jewelry and tie your hair up during the appointment. If you want a statue made wearing a specific kimono/robe please bring that with you during the appointment and we can discuss all the options.

06. Do I have to decide regarding the material and size of the statue right away?

During the appointment we start advising you on the different materials and sizes we offer. Then we will find you a pose that works best for you to make sure your body is captured in the most beautiful way. After the 3D scan is completed and you can see what your statue is going to look like on our computer, we need to know what material and size you want.

07. Is 3D scanning harmful to the baby?

Our 3D camera is not different from a normal photo camera and is not harmful to you or your baby.

08. When will my statue be ready?

You will receive your artwork approximately 4 weeks after the appointment. 

09. Do you deliver my statue?

Your sculpture will be beautifully packaged and delivered by mail to the address you provide.

10. Can you photoshop my imperfections?

We can do a touch up here and there.

11. Do I have to shave my body hair before the session?

That’s completely up to you! Your body, your sculpture, your choice! Hair will likely not be picked up by the scanner. Tattoos won’t show either.

12. How do I pay for it?

After you approve the scan we will send you the invoice. We take any major credit/debit card or cash/zelle and apple pay.

13. Can I bring someone to the appointment?

Absolutely! Bring your partner, sister, mom, grandma, or friend! But keep in mind that our scanning is done in a cozy space.
